Day Eight of the 10 Days of Awe: Localized Caring

Day 8

Is there something (a person, a cause, an idea) that you want to investigate more fully in 2015?

Ok so I googled again.  I can’t help it.  It’s what I do when I’m stuck.  And today today’s question initially had me stuck.

What’s the name of the person in that movie?  I google it.

What’s a good substitute for this ingredient?  I google it.

I have a funny spot on my arm--you've got the idea-- I google it.

So in case you're stuck too, I found a few websites that I thought were pretty awesome for helping you come up with some ideas for stimulating the cabeza.

50 things everyone should know how to do.  From how to deliver bad news to sewing on a button.  Bet you’ll find something on this site:

Make a bucket list:

What about ways to stay younger?

Perhaps it’s a cause you have in mind:

Looking for an inspiring person?

Or better yet, how about going Local?

Look around you. Pastors, farmers, artists, poets, coffee shop owners, men who sit on porches, women who rally for causes; there is wisdom to be gleaned from so many people in our community. You want some worthy local causes? There are numerous nonprofits right here in Columbia doing amazing things.  The United Way of Maury County is a great resource.  There are over 27 agencies that are dependent on United Way.  They need your support.  This one in particular has my heart:

Think globally, act locally.  Paul McCartney
